Transforming poetry into songs—setting words to music.

The studio is an experimental space where written works, old and new, find their voice through song. Over the years, many of my poems and short stories have been tucked away on dusty shelves or hidden in boxes. Now, in the studio, I’m breathing new life into these forgotten pieces, transforming them into songs. It’s been an intriguing journey into my past and a fun way to experiment with emerging technology.

These songs are a MAVERICK Project (Music, Art, Verse, Expression, Reflections, and Imagery of C. Kazilek).

Her Smile – is based on an old poem of the same name. It will be on the Echoes and Ghosts Album to be released in the Spring of 2025.

Rainy Day Drive– this instrumental is part of an album I am creating for drive times in the car. The release date should be sometime in early summer 2025.
